May News from Beacon Valley Grange No. 103

By Joanne Cipriano

  MAY 7, 2024 --

Sorry I missed having Beacon Valley news in the last Granger. Just when it was time to write it, my computer passed away unexpectedly. I’m back in business now with a new replacement.

We are now meeting in our meeting hall and programs are still on the fruit and vegetable theme.

Tag sales (9 to 3) continue on the third Saturday of each month as does our open mic (2-5). At our May sale we will have a huge collection of large cooking pots and double boilers, a safe and a vintage refrigerator for sale.

Plans are progressing for our 135th anniversary celebration being held on Friday, June 14th. We have chosen a “Citizen of the Year”

- Animals for Life. We also have many members who will be receiving membership certificates and seals. They are: Jean Meehan (70), Ronald Shea (60), Robert Chatfield (55), Carol Brooks (50), Shirley Kolosky (45), Marianne Nielsen (35), Roger Paonessa (35) and Denise Barbieri

(30). In keeping with our year theme, Strawberries will play a big part in our planning. As will the flag as it is being held on Flag Day.

Come and help us celebrate.
