Shaefer and Forrest Honored |

OCTOBER 2007 --
Rita Schaefer of Hillstown Grange #87 (East Hartford) was honored to receve the Archbishop’s Award for over 50 years with over 150 other people throughout the State of Connecticut.
From the beginning of her time with the church she performed the same chores every week consisting of caring for the altar linens, washing, ironing and mending and making new altar cloths. There’s no end to the tasks.
She has also been working for the food bank in her district, collecting and delivering daily dinners, especially during the holidays.
Rita and Walter Forrest and Stella Kulogowski were also honored by the State Secretary for their dedication to the district.
Rita also received a 55 year seal from State Grange Master Sendewicz at the September meeting of Hillstown Grange. Walter Forrest also received his 55 year seal for continuous service to the Grange.
